Jon P. Du Bois, 51, of North Perry Street, Johnstown, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He is finally at peace with the Lord.
Jon was born in Albany, on October 10, 1969, and was a 1989, graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School. He was a lifelong Broadalbin resident.
Jon was employed at Catholic Charities in Johnstown, as head of maintenance.
He was a kind and loving man who was very artistic. Jon loved drawing and painting, and also enjoyed fly fishing. He loved animals and befriended many in his lifetime.
Survivors include his parents, Paula and Ronald Cornell of Broadalbin; a sister, Michelle (James) Tompkins of Waterford; and two nephews, Patrick and Peter Tompkins.
Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 7 North Street, Broadalbin, with the Rev. Jun Segura, officiating. Final burial will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Broadalbin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106, Johnstown, NY 12095.
