    Paul E. Flaig, 90, of Quarryville, formerly of Langhorne, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne L. (Ellner) Flaig, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
    Born in Jackson County, Missouri, he was the son of the late Christian and Lora (Hugell) Flaig.
    Paul was a graduate of Hall’s Memorial High School in Missouri, class of 1948. After high school, he attended college for 2 ½ years, and then joined the military. Paul proudly served in the Air Force for 8 years, attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant. He then went on to own and operate a successful lunch truck business. He also worked part-time in the mailroom at the Philadelphia Inquirer.


    To those that knew Paul, he was a “peaceful, private guy that loved to fish.” Most of his fishing was fly fishing, and he looked forward to going on fishing trips each year. When Paul moved to Quarryville, he became a member of the Washington Lodge #156 F. & A. M., and later was a member of Lancaster Lodge #43 F. & A. M. after the lodges merged. He also enjoyed serving his community through volunteering with Solanco Neighborhood Ministries.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cathi Dougherty, of Levittown, Michael Flaig and wife Debra, of Bristol, and Jon Flaig, of Langhorne; great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Maniscola, Michelle (Chris Anderson) Flaig, Chris (Reneé) Flaig, and Carly Flaig; grandchildren, Halle and Anthony Maniscola, Chloe and Cali Anderson, and Colton and Jackson Flaig; brother, Chris Flaig and wife Reesa, of Independence, MO; and a sister, Ruth Moore and husband Jay, of Lee’s Summit, MO. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Wednesday Elizabeth Dougherty, sisters, Dorothy and Christine, and a niece, Karen.
    Services and interment will be private.
