Summer can offer a bunch of exciting water sports and places to relax, but autumn and winter season might also be charming if you know where to go. Snowmobiling, heli-skiing, ice climbing, regular ski, snowboard, luge, and ice climbing are only some of the options that winter and snow can provide you.

Combined with luxury chalets and gourmet dishes winter vacation will compete with your memorable moments next to the beach. Taking into account that the day lasts less and the cold makes it hard to stay out late, the winter experience is more about being physical and doing things with your body. All of the activities mentioned above will make your adrenaline levels increase and heartbeat be stronger.

Here we have some suggestions about the worlds’ most luxurious winter sports holiday destinations to spend your winter vacations whether you travel alone or with family and friends.

  1. Bighorn Revelstoke, Canada
The Bighorn Revelstoke in Canada is by all means one of the most elite places to go for those who enjoy the snow. Approaching from the nearest airport of Kelowna of British Columbia in Canada you can enjoy the private chalet with a maximum capacity of 16 people.

Heli-skiing here is always an option if you are attracted to helicopters. The prices during the high season may overcome $ 10.000 per night. Chefs and housekeepers are included. The use of helicopter though is not. Activities you can find in this beautiful resort include a private cinema, outdoor hot tub, gym sauna, and more.

  2. Yellowstone Club, USA
Staying in the United States we would rather recommend Yellowstone Club. The closest airport is Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Montana. It is a private residential club ski and golf resort in Madison. Among others, it offers cross country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, and fly fishing. Of course, spa treatments and indoor activities are included. The ski runs are mainly on Pioneer Mountain and the resort is located on 250,000 acres in Gallatin National Forest. The west part has an average of 143 inches of snow and the snow powder on the terrains is always soft and fresh.
  3. Dunton Hot Springs, USA
The Durango airport of Colorado close to Telluride is the nearest airport to approach. The place has a captivating history behind it since it used to be a mining town before it got abandoned. Now this place can all be booked to host your big events. The total capacity does not overcome 42 guests. The hot springs are rich in calcium bicarbonate and the snowfall offers a splendid show in combination with the presence of the hot springs. Here you can enjoy ice climbing while heli-skiing is still an option.
  4. Niseko, Japan
If you happen to be in Japan the best proposal would be Niseko. Niseko Village, Annapuri, Hanazono, and Hirafu are the main resorts in the area. Landing in the New Chitose in Hokkaido of Japan we recommend you go to the Capella Club Residences. All of their hotels are designed by world-renowned architects, and during the last years, they have created some beautiful resorts around the world. This place is family-friendly and apart from a ski resort is also recommended as a high gastronomic center. Kamimura restaurant is famous and cuisine has clearly more to offer than a typical American dish.
  5. Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
You can come here either approaching the Whistler (Muni) heliport, the Green Lake Waterdrome (YWS), or Pemberton airport. The reason we recommend this place because it is one of the few places where you can enjoy and learn most safely in world-class facilities the luge.  Luge, for those who are not familiar with the word, is a sport where you lay down on a sled with your chest facing to the ground wearing only your shoes, helmet, and tight suit to protect your body. In this position, you go down on an ice twisting tube with a speed that feels at even 200 miles per hour. Depending on how experienced and brave you are you can try going head or feet first.
  6. Therme Vals, Switzerland
What would winter be, if you don’t visit at least once Switzerland? The best way to go is by Zurich airport, which always gives you the chance to make a quick stop to the biggest city of Switzerland for tasteful chocolate bites and sophisticated wines. There are hot and cold pools with temperatures between 57 and 108 Fahrenheit, and the waters of Vals are supposed to be healing because of the calcium sulfate and hydrogen carbonate they include. After relaxing at the facilities you can stay at the hotel. Of course, there is always the option of Jochtal resort, which is ideal for skiing.
