1. Pebble Mine Permit Denied!

In case you missed it (but, I mean, HOW?), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced last week that it has denied the permit for Pebble Mine, effectively killing the project. The Pebble Partnership vowed to appeal the decision, but few think they have much chance of success.
