Welcome to the latest installment of the Wednesday Wake-Up Call, a roundup of the most pressing conservation issues important to anglers. Working with our friends at Trout Unlimited, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, The Everglades Foundation, Captains for Clean Water, Bullsugar.org, and Conservation Hawks (among others), we’ll make sure you’ve got the information you need to understand the issues and form solid opinions.

1. Don’t Miss TU’s Trout Week 2021

Join Trout Unlimited and Flylords for a week of celebrating our favorite fish and our work to keep their waters healthy. 2. Red tide and algae blooms: Florida waters in crisis

Florida’s water pollution crisis is reaching a breaking point, and the race to pass comprehensive legislation to fix our statewide problems is moving as slow as the environmental catastrophe unfolding in our bays, rivers, natural springs, and lagoons every day.

3. The Bristol Bay Challenge

Businesses for Bristol Bay, the American Fly Fishing Trade Association, and the AFFTA Fisheries Fund have partnered to support a critical push for long-term protections for Bristol Bay. For more than a decade, the sportsman community has stood with the people of Bristol Bay. Join them in renewing the call to end the threat Pebble poses to the region.
