In this week’s how-to video from Ben Sittig, a.k.a Huge Fly Fisherman, he talks about something that many novice anglers–and even some more experienced fly fishers–struggle with: mending. He does a good job of explaining the basic whys and hows, and the demonstrations are clear.

If you want a little more in-depth information, check out our previous posts “How to Mend Fly Line” and “How to Mend Your Line for a Better Drift.” For learning the reach cast and more, check out Pete Kutzer’s “How to Make an Aerial Mend.” Getting the hang of proper mending technique and timing is a big step in an angler’s development.
