In this latest how-to video from Tightline Productions, Tim Flagler walks you through the process of creating a Sulphur Breadline Emerger. I like the way he offers tips and tricks for applying each material–from dividing the Antron Yarn to trimming the hackle collar. I am digging that the new videos are shot in 4K resolution. Sulphur Breadline Emerger
Hook: Standard dry-fly hook (here, a Dai-Riki #300), sizes 14-18.
Thread: Wood duck, yellow, or light brown, 8/0 or 70-denier.
Trailing shuck: Golden brown Antron Yarn.
Body: Amber turkey biot.
Hackle collar: Golden straw, yellow, or cream.
Wing: Natural snowshoe-rabbit-foot hair.
Head: Tying thread.
Thorax: Ginger rabbit-fur dubbing.
Note: This pattern also works great in BWO and PMD colors.
