Action: Re-opens salmon seasons under permanent rules as listed in the 2021/2022 Washington Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet.

Effective date: 12:01 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Tulalip Terminal Area – waters west of Tulalip Bay and within 2,000 feet of shore from the pilings at Old Bower’s Resort to a fishing boundary marker approximately 1.4 miles northwest of Hermosa Point and not including waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.

Rule: Re-opens to salmon fishing as listed in the 2021/2022 Washington Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet, between 12:01 a.m. Friday morning to 11:59 a.m. Monday morning each week between August 13 and September 6, 2021.

Salmon daily limit is 2. Chinook, 22” minimum size. Two-pole endorsement allowed.

Waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point are closed to all fishing.

Reason for action: A sufficient number of Chinook have reached the Snohomish River hatcheries, satisfying broodstock goals enough to allow fishing to resume in the Tulalip Terminal Area.
