Back in February, we posted the first part of a lesson on wading safety by Tom’s Outdoors, in the rugged Snowy Mountains of Australia. In part two, our intrepid instructor, Jimmy, puts these lessons into real-world scenarios on the Tumut River. He also covers how to use a partner or group of anglers to more safely cross the river. Perhaps just as important, Jimmy braves the frigid water to show how you should react if you do fall in. If you spend any time fishing in rivers, you’ll want to take advantage of this advice–whether you’re an old hand or a novice wader.
