Paul Thomas Rajotte, 71, of Plainville passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. He is now reunited with his loving wife of 48 years, Kristina Lynn (Giramondi) Rajotte, who predeceased him on October 18, 2021. Paul was born on August 24, 1950 in Bristol, CT son to the late Bruno and Lucille (Duperré) Rajotte. He worked at GE in Plainville as a Design Engineer for 35 years. Most recently, he worked part-time at Lowe’s in Plainville up until his wife’s health declined and he became her full-time care taker over the past year. He spent summers at “The Lake” growing up, the family cottage on Bashan Lake in East Haddam. He made his family home in Plainville and spent many winters alongside his wife in Las Vegas, where they relished in one another’s company. Paul was a car enthusiast, who especially loved his Corvettes he had over the years. Full of life and lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed taking trips to visit his son, Parker, in Montana, where he would raft the middle fork of the Flathead River and happily tell his stories upon his return. More locally, he enjoyed fly fishing the Farmington River or taking walks to view all that nature had to offer. Paul was an avid dog lover, whether it was his own or his children’s dogs, they were all equally spoiled and loved. In his downtime, he relaxed with a good book to read. A man of character, his family was the center of his life and he cherished the time surrounded by his loved ones, including the nightly board games with his granddaughter, Piper. Paul will be missed dearly as his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his soulmate and wife. Paul is survived by his son, Parker Rajotte; his daughter, Sarah Krystock and her husband, Steve; his grandchildren, Mason, Hunter, and Piper Krystock; his brother, David Rajotte and his wife, Darcie; his sister, Denise Larson and her husband, James; his sister-in-law, Judi Gryzwinski and her husband, John; and his nieces and nephews, Michael, Gary, Candace, Christa, Samantha, Matthew, Peter, and Joan. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, December 10 from 5 to 7 PM at the Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville. A service in celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 7 PM at the funeral home. For those unable to attend, there will be a live-stream available to watch the service. In memory of Paul and his love for animals, donations can be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111.
