Two new cast members have been revealed for Slow Loop, an upcoming TV anime based on the sports manga by Maiko Uchino that follows a pair of step-siblings who bond over the practice of fly fishing. The new cast members (pictured below) include:

A character setting for the identical twin brothers Niji and Tora Yoshinaga from the upcoming Slow Loop TV anime. The boys are 5 years old, with gray hair and purple eyes, and they wear matching outfits (T-shirts and shorts) and are otherwise impossible to tell apart.

  • Nao Tōyama as Niji Yoshinaga.
  • And Kiyono Yasuno as Tora Yoshinaga.

The original Slow Loop manga is serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward seinen manga magazine. The story follows Hiyori Minagi (formerly Hiyori Yamakawa), a high school girl who becomes a younger sister when her mother remarries some years after her father’s death. Hiyori is very shy, but she and her new step-sister, Koharu, learn to get along better through the hobby of fly fishing, a sport that Hiyori picked up from her late father.

Dressed in warm clothes appropriate for autumn, Hiyori, Koi, and Koharu carry fishing poles and tackle boxes while their friends set up a campsite in the background in a new key visual for the upcoming Slow Loop TV anime.

Slow Loop is directed by Noriaki Akitaya and Geisei Morita and features animation production by CONNECT. The series will broadcast in Japan on AT-X, TOKYO MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and BS11 beginning on January 07, 2022.
