Today’s Master Class Monday video by Dave and Amelia Jensen is the ninth installment in a series on how to read trout water. Here, Dave talks about those stretches of river that don’t seem to reveal any obvious trout-holding spots, such as riffles or seams. The key is to look for micro features–color changes, differences in current speed, and the like–that reveal what’s going on below the surface.

These submerged rocks don’t show on the surface, but they provide good cover for trout.
