John A. Williamson, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 3:16 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Howard Community Regional Health in Kokomo.
He was born Nov. 8, 1937, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Nussbaum) Williamson. On April 20, 1963, in Niles, Michigan, he married Janet Mohney, who survives.
John was a 1955 graduate of Sweetser High School and had attended Indiana University. He retired from Lytle & Williamson Inc. as a real estate appraiser. He had also worked for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals and Caldwell Banker Realty. John was a member of National Board of Realtors, Real Estate Appraisers License and was a former member of the Kokomo Country Club, Green Acres Golf Club, Quail Forever and AARP. John was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fly fishing, fly tying, bird dogs, hunting, golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren who live in Oregon and Colorado. He served with the Armed Forces in Fort Hood, Texas, and was honorably discharged Aug. 31, 1964.
Along with his wife, Janet, John is also survived by his children, Laura Williamson, Julia Williamson-Tracy and Greg Williamson; grandchildren, Wren and Opal Tracy, and Kaleigh, Aubrey and Ashley Williamson; and his sister, Sarah Hubbard.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Williamson.
Visitation with the family will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.
