Welcome to the latest edition of the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival! Every week, we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available and then serve them up for you to enjoy. This week, we serve up 11 killer productions that will take you from Australia to the UP, and from Caribbean flats to the trout streams of the Catskills.

For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.

Here’s a gorgeous film about fishing a mayfly hatch on the UP of Michigan.

In July 2021, record high temperatures put the kibosh on many fishing options around Portland, so skateboarder David Gravette and friends chased carp in the lower Columbia River, smallmouth bass within Portland’s city limits, and a sprinkling of alpine trout—and some swimming—for good measure. Warning: Language.

Hopper time in Big Sky Country makes for some killer fishing.

The saltwater flats of Cuba produce some amazing fish.

Just a cinematic eye candy: a look at a day on the water.

Peak summer dry fly fishing on the Delaware River, with a few swings and misses. Warning: Language.

A sweet little POV video that gets extra points for a Joe Pug soundtrack.

The east coast of northern Queensland looks pretty magical.

Atrip exploring the Teton wilderness of Wyoming is a chance to catch trout and cement friendships.

This guy is STOKED to catch his first trout on the fly. Love to see it.

Fly fishing with grasshopper patterns at the peak of summer is great fun. The trouble is that the best fly fishing with grasshopper patterns often occurs in the windiest conditions.
