Hampton – On Saturday, May 29, 2021, Fabian Harold Arthur Dandaneau of Hampton, NH, loving husband and father of 2 children, passed away at the age of 76. Fabian was born on June 3, 1944, in Lynn, Mass., to Fabian, Sr., and Verda. He graduated from Lynn English HS and went on to study pharmacy at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He was an accomplished salesman, a licensed realtor, and owned his own property management business in Florida. On July 16, 1966, he married Shannon Coffey and together they raised a daughter, Laura, and a son, Stephen primarily in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Before his father died when Fabian was only 13, his father, who was an accomplished violinist, passed on his love of music to his son. Fabian would spend the rest of his life playing the guitar and piano, singing, and performing in bands and choirs. He was always quick to burst into song or a corny joke. During his youth, he spent a lot of time in the White Mountains at a family farm and came to love the sport of fishing, especially fly fishing in the mountain rivers. He was an ardent reader and always had one or two books in progress at any given time. He was also a life long Red Sox fan and would never pass up on an opportunity to watch them play. With his wife Shannon, he enjoyed traveling the world, ballroom dancing, and performing volunteer work for various charities and for the church. When Shannon was afflicted with Alzheimer’s, Fabian lovingly and courageously cared for her every day of her 10 year struggle with the disease. He always said it could be no other way for the love of his life. Fabian was preceded in death by his father Fabian, Sr., his mother Verda, his sister Olga and his wife, Shannon. He is survived by his daughter Laura, son, Stephen and his wife, Susan, his two grandchildren Brendan and Christian, his dear friend, Hazel Raymond, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Brentwood, 201 North Road, Brentwood, NH at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels of Hampton, NH, or the Lane Public Library of Hampton, NH.
