The new property offers travelers a designer-curated outdoor escape with Scandinavian and postmodern-inspired decor, just moments away from the bustling downtown of Lake Placid.

Scandinavian inspired design and luxury cabins have a new home in the heart of the Adirondacks: Introducing Eastwind Lake Placid, an imaginative boutique retreat for elemental getaways and gatherings. Authentic connections to nature thrive through 26 eclectic, designer-curated rooms and cabins, refined flavors, pool, saunas, and outdoor activities with river views. Previously a 1950s motor inn, the second Eastwind property from founders Bjorn Boyer, Julija Stoliarova, and Dan Cipriani, offers easy access to one of the largest protected parklands in the United States.

Occupying five buildings on 2.8 acres of land along the Chubb River, Eastwind Lake Placid features an array of indoor and outdoor amenities geared at discerning outdoor enthusiasts, including a pool, vintage library, spa, central fire pit, saunas, bike and skate rentals, and programming such as weekend live music, yoga and pilates classes.

Taking cues from its sister property in the Catskills, Eastwind Lake Placid features a simple yet refined food and beverage program, which guests can enjoy across a variety of different formats: breakfast baskets in the morning, bar bites and sandwiches from the reception bar, and communal outdoor meals made on the open flame Argentinian grill in the summer. With a bar and lounge on the property, as well as a former blacksmith shop turned private dining space for groups up to 10 people, Eastwind Lake Placid offers several options for intimate eating and drinking experiences.

Open year round, the boutique hotel features 26 unique accommodation options, including 17 guest rooms and eight luxury cabins. Guest rooms all differ slightly in layout and decor; All were individually curated by Eastwind Co-founder and Creative Director Julija Stoliarova, with vintage Scandinavian design in mind and inspiration from postmodernism.

Guests are able to choose from an array of room types, a majority with king beds and others with queen beds, as well as varying amenities including fireplaces, desks, sleeper sofas, lofts, rain showers, luxurious bathtubs, seating nooks, and private patios looking out to the pool. The hotel also features Lushna cabins, a signature of the first Eastwind property in Windham. The all-weather, wood-framed, freestanding cabins are available in two types, Suites and Petites, and all feature queen beds, full indoor private bathrooms and adjoining outdoor patios. All rooms feature amenities like Frette linens, Zenology bath products, bluetooth speakers, and electric kettles with tea and coffee kits for early morning pick-me-ups.

Eastwind Lake Placid is tucked alongside the Chubb River and a short 10-minute walk to Main Street, the heart of town, where local shops and restaurants reside. The quaint town known for its Olympic roots is also home to Adirondack Park, created in 1892 by the State of New York, which is larger than several states in New England and bigger than Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon, and the Great Smokies National Parks combined. It features over 2,000 miles of marked hiking trails, 15 miles of mountain bike trails, six million acres of mountains, 3,000 freshwater lakes, rivers, streams and ponds teaming with aquatic life for year-round fly fishing, canoeing, and kayaking excursions, and much more.
