Duane A. Ramaly
Duane A. Ramaly, 78, of Aquashicola, and Wildwood, FL, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022.
Duane was born in 1943 in Palmerton to Arlington D. and Florence R. (Serfass) Ramaly.
He was a graduate of Palmer-
ton High School and DeVry Institute of Technology, studying electronics. He proudly served in the Army National Guard as a military policeman.
Duane married Nancy L. Anthony on Sept. 12, 1964. They were each other’s lifelong companions and friends and were blessed with four children.
Duane worked with Scottie’s Fashions, Blue Ridge Pressure Castings, Ziegenfus Oil and Matlack Trucking. He later became a refractory mason for over 25 years with the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Lehigh Valley Refractories and Solt Refractory Installations. He finished his career in 2003 as a Field Superin-tendent/Estimator.
Duane had many interests. He was a lifelong outdoorsman with the Springside Hunting Club and would never miss an opportunity to be in the woods come deer season. He enjoyed fly fishing and camping. Duane was also an avid bowler and for many years joined his friends for Legion, church and senior leagues.
He loved to sing with the church choir, friends, or just around the house. Most of all, he loved his family and faith.
He practiced his faith at Salem United Methodist Church, Aquashicola, and most recently at Coleman United Methodist Church, Coleman, FL.
Duane will be especially remembered for his kindness, humor, easy going manner, and the many stories he loved to share.
Duane is survived by his wife Nancy; children, Todd, and his wife, Tasha, Jennifer and Mark, and his wife, Maura; grandchildren, Ethan, Asher, Matthew, Noelle and Gavin; and many friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Rodney and two brothers, Gerald and Clayton.
