Rotary club

The Brown County Rotary Club will meet over Zoom at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 15.

The guest speaker will be David Caveness, CEO of Carpenter Realtors. He will share a brief outline of the residential real estate market across central Indiana and the country.

Caveness entered the real estate business in 1974 after graduating from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in real estate and construction management. In 1989, David relocated to Indianapolis to join Carpenter Realtors as vice president and regional manager. In 2013, he was named president and CEO. Since Caveness joined Carpenter, the firm has grown from seven to 34 locations with more than 670 associates to become one of the largest real estate firms in Indiana.

Caveness has been married to his college sweetheart, Anne, for 41 years. They live in Carmel and have two adult daughters, Elizabeth and Emily, and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, fly fishing, gardening and travels with Anne. David has volunteered at the Gennesaret Free Clinic in Indianapolis for almost 30 years, an organization that provides health and wellness services for homeless men, women and children throughout central Indiana and for which Carpenter Realtors has raised more than $1.29 million.

Members of the community, especially those interested in exploring opportunities to participate in projects and to be of service to our community, are invited to attend the remote session. Visit RotaryClubofBrownCounty.org and click on the “Contact us” URL to obtain a link to the Zoom meeting.
