Art Walk To Paint The Town At Freshfields Village

Nothing says “hello spring” like beautiful art and great music. Join Freshfields Village on Friday, Feb. 18 from 4-7 p.m. for the annual Art Walk. Residents and visitors are invited to watch live art demonstrations and view works from local and visiting artists in participating retail shops. 

Plus, enjoy live jazz music during the stroll through the Village during the free event. 

The following are participating artists and stores: 

• Step in Coastal Footwear and meet the amazing Julie Wheeler. For Julie Wheeler, the sky is the limit! Not only does she paint traditional canvases, she also paints murals, coasters, clothing, and more. Enjoy complimentary tastes of red wine while you browse the artwork. 

• Doin’ the Charleston will host local artist, Lisa Justice, featuring custom aprons, coffee mugs, ornaments, picture frames and coasters. Guests can enjoy a special food tasting to preview new items arriving daily! 

• Faherty will host Sam Sidney She free hand cuts felt pieces to create protists of celebrities, pets, food and drinks. 

• First National Bank will host local artist, Kristina Malkawi, who specializes in oil and acrylic painted artwork. 

• Danielle Cather-Cohen will showcase her amazing artwork at FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen. Come in to explore her artwork and of course their 48 wines by the glass! 

• Holly & Brooks 

• J.McLaughlin will feature artwork from Elizabeth Horne. • Kiawah Spirits will hosting Patricia Bisceglia of Molly Joseph Fine Art. Enjoy a complimentary spirit tasting at the tasting bar while you shop her amazing artwork! 

• Palmetto Scent Studio welcomes Johns Island artist Ruthie Beberman-Sumpter. Come view and shop her beautiful abstract paintings as well as high-fired pottery pieces created together with her husband, Cris – the artists behind River Road Pottery. 

• Visit the Patricia Reno Huff Art Gallery upstairs above Bluemercury to view a variety of work from local resident artists. 

• SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters will host local Charleston artist, Paul Puckett. Paul was always determined to make art in the fishing world his life. His pieces include art of fly fishing, sporting dogs, trout paintings, saltwater/freshwater artwork, and much more. Guests can also enjoy complimentary beer from Low Tide Brewery.

 • Showroom 

• Southern Tide Kiawah welcomes Charleston artist, Tammy Medlin. Tammy is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The American Impressionist Society, and is an exhibiting member at the Charleston Artist Collective and Charleston Artist Guild Gallery with select works available at One King’s Lane. Enjoy complimentary tastes of sparkling wine while you browse her artwork. 

• Spartina 449 will host local Seabrook Island artist, Colleen Weissman.
