Carlton Keith Brown, 79, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away on June 16, 2022. He was born on February 3, 1942, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, to Frederick and Sereta (Lutz) Brown.

Carl started Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout and became an Eagle Scout with a palm leaf. Carl attended Eisenhower High School, where he played alto clarinet in both the concert and marching bands. He graduated high school in 1960. He was also in the marching band of Villanova University where he majored in mechanical engineering and joined Phi Kappa Pi fraternity. He graduated college in 1964 and married Gloria Kosloskie on October 23, 1965. He worked as a sales engineer in the transportation industry until his retirement in 2010.

Like his father, Carl was a 32nd degree Mason and he was Master of Norristown Lodge 620. He was also a member of the Tall Cedars Lodge. Carl was a scoutmaster and little league coach. His hobbies included golfing, fly fishing, stamp collecting, model railroading, and watching Villanova basketball.

Carl is survived by his wife Gloria (Kosloskie) Brown and children Stephen Brown (Juliet) of Yardley, Pennsylvania; Michelle Cue (Brandon) of North Aurora, Illinois; Pamela Quigg (Troy) of East Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sister Merrily Spiess (Harry) of Wayne, Pennsylvania; as well as nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 2 from 2 to 5 pm at 916 Greenway Avenue in Yardley, Pennsylvania, for a gathering to celebrate Carl’s life.
