CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming’s “Free Fishing Day” is right around the corner. On Saturday, June 5, anyone can fish in Wyoming (with the exception of national parks and the Wind River Reservation) without a license, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department said Monday.
“Free Fishing Day is a great time to kick off summer fishing or take up fishing as a new hobby,” Game and Fish Chief of Fisheries Alan Osterland said “If you need some tips to start off, head to the Game and Fish Youtube page for how-to videos.”
There are also ten fishing events for kids and families being planned starting on Free Fishing Day. People can check out these events in communities around the state:

On Free Fishing Day, fishing regulation, creel and size limits, gear restrictions and stream closures remain in effect.
“Anglers can review the 2021 Fishing Regulations online before heading out and plan their trips with the interactive fishing guide,” Game and Fish says.
