Tuesday, July 29: RealTime Interventions’ The Birth of Paper

You have one more day to experience the premiere of RealTime will new show, which forms a “theatrical bridge between Pittsburgh, ‘the Paris of Appalachia’ and Beirut, ‘the Paris of the Middle East.’” Created in response to Beirut’s humanitarian crisis, this how is a “love letter to the postal service –and to paper– as an ancient, global technology of connection, the show connects its audience across oceans in real time.” The one-of-a-kind theatrical experience involved a transatlantic letter exchange and care packages sent to Beirut. Wednesday, June 30: PGH Photo Fair Speaker Series

During the virtual talk, Power, Suffering, and our Need for Community, renowned collector David Kronn and art advisor Tristan Lund will explore the links between photography, conflict, power, suffering, and community. Saturday, July 3: Title Town Soul & Funk Party at Spirit

The dance floor misses you. After a 16-month hiatus, Pittsburgh’s fave soul and funk dance party returns to the Lawrenceville nightspot to make you groove. Get to the point of local history in the heart of the city. The Fort Pitt Museum is the perfect place to celebrate the July 4th holiday. Sunday, July 4: Independence Day Celebration at Point State Park
6-10 p.m.
The City of Pittsburgh’s signature Independence Day celebration might look a little bit different this year, but the dazzling light show in the sky returns again to dazzle Pittsburghers. The event includes a family-style picnic at Point State Park with festive music and food vendors. Fireworks will start at sundown.
Sunday, July 4: Fireworks Cruise on the Gateway Clipper

Get the best seat in the house as you watch Pittsburgh’s spectacular fireworks display aboard an iconic riverboat.
