Video: Orvis Rod Repair is a Giant Leap Forward

Until fairly recently, breaking your Orvis fly rod could be a real hassle. You’d have to take it to your nearest dealer for shipping or box it up yourself and send it to our rod shop in Manchester, Vermont. Once it arrived, it went into the queue for repairs, and a new section had to be manually fitted to ensure that the rod would perform properly. Depending on the time of year, and how many broken rods were in front of yours, this whole process could take weeks or even months.

Not anymore. Advances in rod-shop technology have made it possible for us to just ship you a new section, confident that it will be a perfect fit for your rod. Instead of waiting weeks–or even months–you can be back on the water in days. Although a couple other rod companies do offer this service, we believe that our ability to ensure that the replacement parts are as good as the ones they are replacing is second to none. Tom Rosenbauer walks you through the process of getting your new rod section.
