Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions has developed a fascination with patterns that feature a drop bead, which causes a pattern to ride hook-point-up in the water. These flies may look strange, with their slightly misshapen heads, but they perform well in the water. In this great video, Tim teaches you how to tie one of his own creations, the Timbit Nymph. He views the Timbit as more of a style of fly than a specific pattern, so feel free to experiment by changing the colors of all the materials. As an added bonus, you learn what Tim had for lunch on the day he shot this video.
