In our weekly fly-tying videos from Tightline Productions, Tim Flagler demonstrates the best way to tie a specific pattern teaching us useful skills that make us better tiers overall. This week, however, he’s switched to “down and dirty” mode to show how he ties a guide-fly version of the legendary Pat’s Rubberlegs. Simple, fast, and effective are the orders of the day, and after watching this, you should be able to crank out these nymphs at record pace, especially if you prep all your materials beforehand. Less time tying hopefully means more time fishing.
