Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions loves the Walt’s Worm so much that he has shown us at least has shown us no fewer than six versions of it over the years: Walt’s Worm and the Sexy Walt’s, Son of Sexy Walt’s, Last Walt’s., McKenna’s Sexy Walt’s, and Drop-Bead Walt’s. There’s just something about this profile that drives trout nuts.
In this week’s great tying video, Tim shows you how to create an orange version that he’s been using to great effect in recent weeks on his home waters in New Jersey. The Dirty Carrot features a mixed-dubbing body and a hard-to-miss hotspot behind the bead. If Tim says it works now, give it a whirl. Seems like it could also serve as a killer October caddis pupa, too.
