Simple Midge Larva
Hook: 3X-long natural-bend hook, size 24 (debarbed).
Thread/body: Yellow, 8/0 or 70-denier.
Rib: Copper Ultra Wire, extra-small.
Head: Tying thread, colored with a dark-brown permanent marker.
Adhesive: Head cement (here, Sally Hansen Hard-As-Nails).
Tools: Plunger-style hackle pliers, sharp needle-nose pliers, sticky-note pad.
