Ultimately, the series will serve as a sort of encyclopedia of tying skills that will be a valuable resource for anyone who sits down at a vise to create a fly.
This week, Tim shows you how to make a fast (or “phast”) body on a Pheasant Tail Nymph. If you’re planning to tie a bunch of these great patterns, speeding-up the process can be a big help. The key is having pheasant-tail fibers long enough to make tails and body together. Then you simply finish the pattern as you normally would, and off you go.
