This time of year, when you’re often fishing with heavy nymph rigs, casting can become a problem. If you don’t adjust your technique, you can end up with some nasty tangles. In this great video from the Orvis Fly Fishing Learning Center, Pete Kutzer and Tom Rosenbauer offer two ways to cast these rigs. First, Pete shows you how to open up your loop, and then Tom demonstrates the water haul.
