The folks at Mad River Outfitters in Columbus, Ohio, have been making videos about fly casting for a couple years now, and the 19th in the series features Blane Chocklett, inventor of the Game Changer streamer. Big streamers present casters with a few problems: How to generate enough line speed to avoid sag in the cast, how to make long casts, and how to do all of this with the least amount of effort. Blane learned at the feet of Lefty Kreh, and many of his tips come right out of the Lefty playbook. Whether you’re casting articulated streamers for big brown trout, massive hair flies for muskies, or large baitfish patterns for saltwater species, you’ll want to watch this.
