In today’s video, I did something I’d only done once before: I floated the river alone. The weather was perfect, the river was empty, and the fish were willing. I floated a five-mile stretch and pulled over in a few spots to nymph up some trout. I talked to myself a lot, and had a great time. 10/10, would do again.
Some takeaways from this video are:
- Always wear your PFD.
- It’s not easy to row a boat and fish at the same time.
- Avoid redds and spawning fish.
- Give wading anglers as much room as you can.
- It’s ok to talk to yourself. It doesn’t make you a weirdo.
