Planning a camping trip close to water? Snow Peak has you covered. Fresh from its Journal Standard-exclusive air bubble sandals, the Japanese outdoor experts have rejoined Toned Trout for another collaborative selection of stylish fishing gear, finally arriving overseas after launching in Japan earlier this month.

So named for Gunma Prefecture’s Tone River and water system, Toned Trout launched in 2018 as a progressive fly fishing label poised to advance the boundaries of casual angler style. Its third partnership with Snow Peak again centers around stylish garments ideal for wading through rivers and relaxing pondside, with durable fabrics and reliable cuts that translate naturally to daily wear even when not in nature.

Ranging from functional fishing jackets and stretch-infused shirting, the new goods are all served up in neutral olive and black tones ideal for blending in with nature. They’re also well suited to mix and match with Snow Peak’s existing apparel lineup, boasting similar high-spec detailing to match.

For instance, the “TT Camp Vest” and “TT Game Vest” styles seen here is aligned with Snow Peak’s own Takibi Vest, complete with Cordura and ripstop, but has been remixed for fisherman with plentiful pouches, D-rings, interior storage and a rear mesh pocket. Elsewhere, hats and shorts retain similar stretch and water-fighting capabilities to the other layering pieces, maintaining heightened breathability necessary to function in hot summer seasons.

Shop the latest Toned Trout gear on Snow Peak’s website and at its New York flagship store.
