CONCORD, NH — Here is the weekend edition of PM Patch NH with all the stuff you may have missed during the weekend as well as some news briefs.
July Was, Well, Wet
As you already know, it was a very wet July. It was so wet that, according to weather forecasters, records were broken around the region, including in two New Hampshire cities. Concord received the most rainfall ever in July last month — 13.04 inches. Manchester also saw its record broken with 10.61 inches of rain. The average rainfall in both cities in a normal July is around three and a half inches. Worcester, Massachusetts, and Bangor, Maine, also had their heaviest rainfall for July ever with Worcester receiving 13.85 inches.

Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Loudon
A motorcycle racer died during a crash at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. Limited information is available about the crash but a statement from NorthEast Motorcycle Road Racing, the Hampstead outfit that sponsored the race, is expected on Sunday. Around 5 p.m., the Speedway ambulance requested a transfer by Loudon fire and rescue teams of the motorcyclist to Concord Hospital for a “traumatic arrest,” according to capital region dispatch. The race on Sunday was the fifth round of races by the organization. The crash occurred in one of the last races of the day.
