Westmoreland County Marines to supply Christmas groceries
Westmoreland County Marines will provide Christmas groceries to local veterans’ families in need.

Knead Community Café welcomes donations
Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is accepting donations to help the daily operation of the café, 1011 Barnes St.
Items on the café’s wish list include full- and half-sized aluminum foil steam pans, liquid Mini Moo’s creamer cups, dry creamer canisters, paper towels, one-size-fits-all disposable gloves, cupcake liners and Tide or Gain powdered laundry detergent. Salvation Army seeks Red Kettle volunteers
The Western Pennsylvania division of the Salvation Army is seeking volunteers to help in the annual Red Kettle Campaign.
Red kettles will be placed at local retailers beginning in November. Physical kettle locations will offer Google and Apple Pay options to provide a safe, contactless option for the public to donate.
Volunteer bell ringers will be required to follow covid-19 safety guidelines and will receive training on how to safely perform their duties and engage with the public. To offer your time, call the New Kensington center at 724-335-7221 or the Allegheny Valley center in Brackenridge at 724-224-6310.
