Dinner to benefit Leechburg fire victims
A barbeque dinner to benefit Craig and Melissa Hubert of Leechburg who lost their home in a fire will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave., Leechburg.
Cost is $12 and includes choice of Big Joe’s barbequed pulled pork sandwich or DelVecchio’s sausage, smoked macaroni and cheese, barbequed beans, coleslaw and dessert. Dine in or takeout. There will be a basket raffle and 50/50.
Participants needed for Freeport Christmas parade
Freeport Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications from groups, clubs and individuals to march in or sponsor a float in the 5 p.m. Dec. 4 Christmas parade in the borough.

Turkey Trot to aid youth group
The Kiski Valley Turkey Trot 5K Race and 1-mile Fun Run Walk to benefit Kiski Area Youth Network will begin at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25 at Kunkle Park, 985 Pine Run Church Road, Washington Township.
A virtual 5K option is available for those who wish to participate at their own location and timing. The course is an out and back loop on a country road and begins and ends in Kunkle Park.
Snacks and water will be provided. Race packet pickups will be available the evening before the race and on race day.
