After a pandemic-fueled series of iterative postponements and cancellations that eventually led to the cancellation of their entire 2021 schedule, The Fly Fishing Show has announced its 2022 dates, featuring a nearly fully restored schedule. The 2022 Fly Fishing Show will kick off January 21, 2022 in Marlborough, Massachusetts and conclude on March 6, 2022 in Lancaster Pennsylvania, making 4 other stops along the way.
According to Ben Furmisky, Fly Fishing Show President and CEO, after a year of sitting idle due to COVID-19 cancellations, the 2022 show will be back “with a cornucopia of new rods, reels, clothes, fly tying and casting demonstrations, seminars and vacation destinations.”
With the exception of the absence of the Seattle-area Lynwood, Washington show, which was forced to be scratched from the 2022 schedule due to facility scheduling conflicts, The 2022 Fly Fishing Show will be making all its usual stops.
The popular Denver, Colorado show will take place at a new venue this year, the The Denver Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center. The facility, Marriott Hotels property, stands at the edge of the Front Range in Aurora and features more than 500,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space, 1,387 guest rooms, mountain views, five restaurants, bars, spa, water park, and fitness center. According to a release by The Fly Fishing Show, the new venue is a larger, more modern facility that offers the show the potential to grow exponentially.
