Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got a classic set of questions about such topics as fishing records, famous rivers, historic catches, and proper feather names.
The last quiz was a toughie, and there were no perfect scores. Three of you got just a single question wrong, so we should celebrate the perspicacity of Roger, Peter D, and Alan Burrows. The vast majority of scores were considerably lower, and the most popular score stayed stuck at an abysmal 40%.
The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a copy of Kip Vieth’s wonderful new book, The Orvis Guide to Muskies on the Fly. This is an essential primer on fly-fishing for muskies, addressing every requirement of the sport and providing an excellent foundation for years of pleasurable fishing. It includes instructions for tackle selection; casting and presentation; flies; essential knots and how to tie them; successful techniques on rivers and lakes; and much more. The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org)–who will receive Vieth’s book–is Teamx5, whose score was exceedingly common. But here’s the good news: they still win the book!
Post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great video.
Good luck!
