Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got ten brand-new questions that cover a range of subjects–from angling literature, to obscure fish species, to western rivers.
The last quiz was a pretty hard one for those who don’t tie flies, but three of you were geeky enough to get every single question right. All bow to Clint Brumitt, Leonard Persson, and Amy. For the second week in a row, the most common score was a 40%. Let’s hope you all find this quiz more tailored to your knowledge base.
The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a copy of Kip Vieth’s wonderful new book, The Orvis Guide to Muskies on the Fly. This is an essential primer on fly-fishing for muskies, addressing every requirement of the sport and providing an excellent foundation for years of pleasurable fishing. It includes instructions for tackle selection; casting and presentation; flies; essential knots and how to tie them; successful techniques on rivers and lakes; and much more. The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org)–who will receive a cool hat–is Erik, whose comment “tough one” suggests that he didn’t do as well as he’d hoped.
Post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great video.
Good luck!
