It’s a fine day for fly fishing, because a new promotional video featuring the main cast of the Slow Loop TV anime trying their hand at the sport has been published to Youtube. The video (below) features voice actors Rin Kusumi (the voice of Hiyori Minagi), Natsumi Hioka (the voice of Koharu Minagi), and Tomomi Mineuchi (the voice of Koi Yoshinaga) learning the basics of fly fishing.

The original Slow Loop manga by Maiko Uchino is serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward seinen manga magazine. Funimation describes the story of the Slow Loop TV anime as follows:

Nervous to meet her new stepdad, Hiyori heads to the place she always feels at home—the ocean. When a curious girl named Koharu shows up, Hiyori decides to teach her how to fish, just like her father did before he died. But after Koharu reveals she’s also meeting her new family that night, the girls come to a startling realization. Their friendship is about to reach a whole new level!

Dressed in warm clothes appropriate for autumn, Hiyori, Koi, and Koharu carry fishing poles and tackle boxes while their friends set up a campsite in the background in a new key visual for the upcoming Slow Loop TV anime.

Slow Loop is directed by Noriaki Akitaya and Geisei Morita and features animation production by CONNECT. The series is currently broadcasting in Japan is also streaming in the United States via Funimation as part of their winter 2022 anime simul cast lineup.
