Technology sales executive Rick Taylor has been promoted by ServiceNow to area vice president for government, health care and education.
Taylor joined ServiceNow less than three years ago as director for government, health care and education before his promotion.
The Sacramento-area resident has been in the technology sector since 1997. He has served as vice president of operations for InfiniSys, account executive for Mobius Management Systems, territory manager for Stellent Inc., technology sales manager for Oracle, client executive for state/local/education (SLED) in the West for FireEye Inc. and state and local sales leader for Adobe in the West. Taylor joined ServiceNow in December 2018.
“I’m honored to be named area vice president for ServiceNow and can’t wait to be able to work closely with our customers in state and local governments, higher education organizations and health-care providers,” Taylor told Techwire. “The work these organizations do and the help they provide their constituents and patients is too important to run on silos, outdated infrastructure and with inefficient processes. It’s an exciting time to be able to work together to create amazing experiences for all and make the world of work, work better for people.”
In his LinkedIn profile, Taylor connects his hobbies to his work: “Two of my favorite things to do in my spare time are flying airplanes and fly-fishing. Both of these things require patience, technique, disciplined and structured thinking, and a desire to get better. These are the same characteristics that I attempt to bring to my work with my friends in state and local government.”
