Every once in a while, it’s nice to slow down, relax, and remind ourselves of why we love Montana so much. And indulging in a staycation is the perfect way to do that. After all, there’s no need to leave the state for a vacation when we already live in paradise.
Spend a few days at Sage Lodge in Paradise Valley and you’ll see what we mean. This luxury resort has a little bit of everything, but even if all you do is turn your phone off and rest, you’ll have a fantastic time.
Sage Lodge sits on the banks of the Yellowstone River just 35 minutes from Yellowstone National Park.
This part of the state is exceptionally gorgeous, and it’s full of outdoor recreational opportunities.
Since the lodge opened in 2018, it has already won numerous awards.
Often described by guests as a “peaceful paradise,” this place is easy to fall in love with and impossible to leave.
The fact that the property is surrounded by so much natural beauty certainly doesn’t hurt.
It also helps that the lodge makes such a great home base for those who enjoy hiking, fly fishing, biking, cross-country skiing, and so much more.
The guest rooms are cozy, clean, and completely comfortable.
You’ll love relaxing here after a long day spent enjoying nature.
Speaking of nature, you’ll find a lot of recreational opportunities from the resort itself, especially in the summer.
From morning yoga to afternoon llama hikes, the list is seemingly endless. There is even a private pond for fly fishing.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with sticking close to the property, dining at The Grill at Sage Lodge or the Fireside Room, and soaking in the massive hot tub…
…but if you go that route, you should definitely check out the spa.
They’ve got a long list of treatments they can offer seven days a week (reservations are required) that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Sage Lodge certainly isn’t a budget resort, but some occasions are simply worth the splurge.
Summer rates are the most expensive, so consider visiting in the off-season if you’d like to save. This property makes a gorgeous winter wonderland.
