 Ronald Clark Owens was born July 2, 1936, in Rapid City, S.D. Ron died December 4, 2022, after a short illness. He was 86 years old.
 Ron was united in marriage to Lois Arlene (Day) Owens in Granite Falls on July 5, 1958. They enjoyed a wonderful life until her passing. He was fortunate to meet Sharon Suter in 2015 and they shared so many special times and activities.
 Ron loved life and will be remembered for his dry humor and big smile. As a child, he enjoyed fly fishing with his dad in the Black Hills. Ron coached his sons’ baseball teams. Attending the Twins and Vikings at the old Met stadium was a highlight that the family would look forward to. Going to the casino, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, charter bus trips, shows at Chanhassen, watching sports, four-wheeling in Brainerd, watching the game show network, and trips back to the Black Hills kept him entertained. He could always be counted on to be in the audience supporting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 He has lived and worked in Rapid City, Brookings, S.D., Winner, S.D., Mitchell, S.D., Aurora, Minn., Granite Falls, Montevideo, Willmar, and Brainerd. He owned Aurora Drug (Aurora) and Ron’s Family Drug (Montevideo). Ron’s pharmacy career was long and loyal. His work ethic was always a great example. He retired from Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, K-Mart, and Walmart. After retirement, he continued to be a relief pharmacist for many years. It was important for him to support the independent pharmacies.
 Surviving family include Sharon Suter, his children – Julie (and Ben) Klebel of Waconia, Kelly (and Jerome) Fragodt of Montevideo, Scott (and Mary) Owens of Rosemount, and Patrick (and Tricia) Owens of Norwalk, Iowa; his grandchildre n- Traci (and Chris) Peterson, Bobbi Jo (and Ben) Tushaus, Nick (and Terri) Vorvick, Kari Jo Fragodt, Matthew Fragodt, Marissa Owens, Julia Owens, Anthony Owens, Ryan Owens and Kalei Owens; great-grandchildren – Alex (and Rylee), Axton, Alexander, Christopher, Benjamin, Gage, Toni, Ava Jo, Landen, Maxx and McKenna, Sharon’s children, Stacy (and Roger) Braeglemann, Lori (and Marc) Mattice, Chad (and Cheryl) Suter and her six grandchildren.
 Ron was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents, his grandson Jeremy Owens and great-grandson Lucas Vorvick.
 Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Pastor Donald S. McKee will officiate and entombment will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
 Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service starting at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
