Ron died peacefully Dec. 6, 2022 at his home in Palm Beach Gardens (Fl) where he and Toni lived the past 34 years
Ron was an accomplished athlete in high school and college. He was on the baseball and football teams at West View High (Pittsburgh) and the football team at Princeton University where he majored in geology. Go Tigers!Ron and Toni married 64 years ago in Pittsburgh. They loved their newlywed years in Durango, CO before returning to Warren, Pa. and later to subtropical paradise of south Florida. There were five children and then seven grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Toni Nelson, and children Arie, Chad (Rebecca) and Brad (Susan) and their children. Ron was preceded in death by his sister Kay and sons Rocky and Cole in the last few years. A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach, FL.Thank you for your part in his life–a life full of moments and memories, football games, Nascar races, fly fishing, tennis and paddle tennis, canoe parties, the sailing canoe, skiing – just a few that come to mind.
