Robert “Bob” Anthony Keiser, 82, of Hanover Twp., died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Caroline; and parents, George and Sophia Keiser, Mountain Top.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Cynthia Solomon; sons, George, Alexandria, Va.; and Robert, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, James (Denise), Allen (Joanne); and multiple nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Blue Mountain Academy and Columbia Union College.
From 1963 to 1965, he served as a medical corpsman and medical specialist in the U.S. Army while stationed at Walter Reed Medical Center. After leaving the service, he was employed until retirement by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Office of State Inspector General.
Bob enjoyed fly fishing and was an avid birdwatcher and amateur astronomer throughout his life. He always kept a pair of binoculars under his car seat to capture a bird or star when out on a drive. He was a true lover of learning and could talk excitedly with anyone about topics ranging from operas and history to astronomy and binocular optics.
A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family and is under the direction of Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.
