Raymond L. Jodon, 86, of Belleville, passed away at Valley View Retirement Community on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020.

Raymond was born in Milesburg on Nov. 18, 1934, the son of the late John C. and Carrie B. Brown Jodon. Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna McMullen Jodon who preceded him in death on March 13, 1982. On Feb. 15, 1985 he married the former Doris I. Spotts (Jodon) who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Thomas R. Jodon, Timothy L. Jodon; his brother, Donald Jodon and his grandchildren, Zachery Jodon, Anna Jodon, Alexandra Jodon Stauffer and Emilee Jodon. Along with his parents and his first wife he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Jodon. John W. Jodon and his grandson, Matthew Jodon.

Raymond was a 1954 graduate of Bellefonte High School, and a 1962 graduate of United Wesleyan College in Allentown with a B.S. in Bible and Theology. He worked at Penn State University from 1956 to 1961.

He served as Pastor at the Wesleyan Church in Arlington, Va., Allentown, Shippensburg, Trainer, Jersey Shore, Beech Creek and Mount Union, all in Pa. from 1966-1996. Raymond enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing, hunting, wood carving, professional and college baseball and football.

Private funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc. with Pastor Michael Fisher officiating. We will be following CDC recommendations, facial coverings will be required and social distancing is encouraged. Burial will be in the Advent Cemetery, Boggs Township, Centre County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley View Retirement Community Endowment Fund, 4702 E. Main St, Belleville, PA 17004 in memory of Raymond L. Jodon.
