PEMBINE, Wis. — Pembine High School has announced its top seniors from the Class of 2022.
This group of students has faced unprecedented challenges over the past few years and yet continued to strive for the best. The Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District school board, administration, teachers and staff all would like to congratulate them for their accomplishments and wish them great success in their future endeavors.
Graduation ceremonies will be 7 p.m. Friday, May 27.
This year’s valedictorian and salutatorians are:
— Ely Marcy is valedictorian of the Class of 2022. He is the son of Joe and Paula Marcy of Beecher, Wis.
Marcy has been involved in many extra-curricular activities through high school. He is the student council vice president, student government class secretary and National Honor Society president. He also plays American Legion Baseball for Niagara.
In his four years at Pembine, he has also been involved in baseball, cross country, basketball, band, and Hi-Q. Throughout high school he has maintained his high honor roll status each quarter and earned many athletic awards.
Marcy plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
— Amelia Schintgen is a salutatorian for the Class of 2022. Her parents are Shelly and Joey Buch of Pembine and Jim and Nicole Schintgen of Niagara, Wis.
Schintgen is on the student council, Healthy Youth Coalition and is student government vice president. She has participated in volleyball, softball, and drama all four years of high school, along with basketball, band, and choir.
Schintgen has maintained an honor roll and high honor roll status throughout high school.
She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and will pick her major after completing her general education credits.
— Kevin Strietzel is a salutatorian for the Class of 2022. He is the son of Jamie and Laura Strietzel of Beecher.
Strietzel has been involved in many extracurricular activities throughout high school. He is a member of National Honor Society, student council, Hi-Q, baseball, basketball and cross country. He has spent his summers working for Tight Lines Fly Fishing Co. in DePere, Wis.
Throughout high school, Strietzel has maintained a high honor roll status along with earning many athletic awards.
Strietzel plans to pursue a degree in business management at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with hopes of someday owning his own business.
