HAMILTON — Pat Ellis, 79, passed away in the morning, due to heart failure, Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
Pat was born to John W. and Josephine F. Ellis, Dec. 12, 1940, in San Luis Obispo, California.
He attended Orland High School and went on to join the United States Army and served honorably.
Pat was married to Kay Ellis for 61 years, they owned and operated the well-known Bonds Shuttle Service. He helped so many fishing guides along their journey, so many stories to tell, to many to mention in this obituary.
He loved to fly fish and spend time with his family, they loved him.
Pat was a great friend to the Bitterroot and fly fishing. He loved his family above all. He will be missed by many. He was an amazing husband, father and friend to all.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Ellis; and children, Jimmy, Debbie, Patty, Stacey and Scott; along with 21 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
The graveside services will be held at 3 p.m, Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at the Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.
