Paul L. Bois

WESTBROOK – Paul L. Bois, 77, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Westbrook on Feb. 2, 1943, the son of Leonard and Elva (Pomerleau) Bois.Paul graduated from Westbrook High School in 1961 and went on to serve in the Maine Army National Guard. He married Connie Moreau on Sept. 1, 1962 and together they raised a family and shared 58 years of marriage.Paul was a long time employee of S.D. Warren Paper Mill and through hard work and dedication he retired as the Division Manager of 70 Coater, a job reserved for someone with a college degree. A true “jack of all trades,” he was a skilled craftsman and handyman who could build or remodel anything.Paul will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A self-taught guitar player, many happy hours were spent with friends jamming out to music. He loved bowling, playing cribbage, fly fishing, camping, and blueberry picking. Over the years, he explored many of the campgrounds in Maine with his family and friends. After retiring, he spent his summers at Abol Bridge Campground in the Mt. Katahdin area. He also enjoyed traveling with friends to places like Alaska, Hawaii, Aruba, Bermuda, Cozumel, and Las Vegas. Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 197 and St. Anthony of Padua.Paul was predeceased by his parents. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Paul and his wife Linda, Donald and his wife Terri, Steven and Amy, daughter, Karen Theriault and her husband David; grandchildren, Kathryn and husband Cameron Ray and Kevin Bois, Elizabeth and Jeffrey Bois, Brian Theriault, Gabriel, Gracie, and Julia Bois. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation hours 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee. Memorial services will be private for the family.
