Coming Soon

The Fly Fishing Show that used to cast at the now-closed Denver Mart returns in February 2022 to bigger digs at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center.

Like all large events, the Show was idle for more than a year due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. It’s currently scheduled to restart in Massachusetts in January and reach Colorado Feb. 11, 12 and 13 at Gaylord. It features new rods, reels, clothes, fly tying and casting demonstrations.

“Fly Fishing Show attendees will be granted special reduced room rates,” said Ben Furimsky, president and CEO, in a statement. “Bring families before, during and after the event on a well-deserved midwinter vacation.”

New Hire

Denver-based Raintree, franchise sales, marketing and consultant company, has hired Teriyaki Madness Co-Founder Rod Arreola to serve as development director.

“When Teriyaki Madness really started to expand nationally, I met Raintree co-founders Mike Edwards and Brent Dowling in Denver,” said Arreola. “We partnered with Raintree, and their team really took Teriyaki Madness to the next level.”

Arreola plans to help grow the brewery concept Voodoo Brewing Co., staffing brand NEXTAFF and Asian cuisine franchise Tin Drum Asian Kitchen.

Pennsylvania-based Voodoo recently sold three franchises in metro Denver, according to FranchiseTimes.com.
