Jimmy Lamar Ricks
Jimmy Lamar Ricks, 88, of Boston, GA, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Pruitt Health in Moultrie, GA. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 2:00 pm at Springhill Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Rewis officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Ricks was born on October 10, 1932 in Ochlocknee, GA. He married Marjorie Owens Ricks in the 1950’s in Thomasville, who survives. He retired as a Mechanic after working many years for GM. He was a professional coon hunter, who loved deer hunting, fly fishing, fresh & salt water fishing. In addition to his wife, survivors include; a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Douglas Ricks, Jr. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lives Without Limits – 311 N. Dawson St., Thomasville, GA 31792.
